Here is the shop in San Diego where a very talented welder modified the Distortions Queens stance. This would have been around 2008.
Life size Queen Alien from James Cameron's 1986 film Aliens. The Queen Alien was conceived and designed by James Cameron, in collaboration with special effects artist Stan Winston and his crew. This life sized Queen Alien was manufactured by Distortions Unlimited in the 1990's. It was fabricated from the original movie molds and is fully licensed by Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation. I purchased it in 2008 and have since added the Bruce Hansing face. It originally stood 16 feet tall, but I paid a talented San Diego welder to modify it's stance into what you see now. Other than the face and new stance, it is in original unpainted condition. The two little arms that attach to the chest and the six spines or fins that protrude from it's back will be added later, but can be seen further down the page.
Here are the six spikes that protrude from it's back and the two little arms located in the front of the torso.
